We woke in good time, and headed for the Commodore Club lounge for breakfast (George really enjoying the free buffet!) After that we spent much of the day up on deck. George spotted our first sea mammals, identifying some harbour porpoise. We saw numerous pods of dolphins throuhout the day, with common dolphins coming in close and playing in the bow waves and an exciting view of a high-speed bottlenose putting the other dolphins to shame with its athleticism.
We had dinner in the main restaurant (included in the main ticket price), and then watched sunset from the Commodore Club lounge. We passed over the continental shelf too late in the night to stand much chance of seeing whales, so after a brief stroll on deck we headed to bed.
