Day 3: San Vicente De La Barquera

13th July 2022

We woke early (5-ish) to get some breakfast before disembarking at 8am local time. After getting through passport control, we headed to a supermarket to stock up, then hit the road to find a campsite. With nothing booked, we headed for Camping El Rosal near San Vicente De La Barquera. Through the hills the temperature hit 30, but dropped a little again as we headed back to the coast. We arrived at the campsite early, and were fortunate to find there were spaces available. Unlike most French sites, they are happy for us to stay as long as we like, and just pay on check-out. The site sits between two beaches, a surfers beach on the coast, and a sheltered sandy beach on the river. The pitces are fairly shady and the facilities are basic, but ok. The beaches are amazing with this unusually hot weather,
