At the end of day 6 we waited up for fireworks at 00:30 on day 7 - technically the end of the festival on the 16th. As with all of the other days activities, the start of the fireworks was heralded by an air raid siren. For any new arrivals unfamiliar with the festival, it may have been briefly concerning. We watched the fireworks from the beach, seeing them reflected in the waters of the estuary.
Day 7 proper was another very relaxed beach day. We didn’t take photos of the SUP and body-boarding activities, but both Lindsey and George got better at catching waves. We had dinner at the van, and then another lovely sunset walk along the beach.
