Getting a little stretched for titles, this one is “a day on the river” simply because we only went to the estuary beach! With a 10:30 high tide, we went out early again. This was another glorious morning, with bright sunshine, calm and clear water. The visual effect of ripples on the water and diffracted light forming ripples on the sand several feet underwater makes depth perception challenging when looking down, which can affect balance a little! There were more paddleboards out today, and quite a few swimmers.
After a relaxed lunch and time to read back at the campsite, we headed back to the same beach soon after low tide, and Lindsey and George played ball in the main channel, with Lindsey also having a swim up and down with the incoming tide. We then headed back to the campsite for showers and some enormous steaks on the barbecue!
